Atalanta Star Midfielder Most Likely Staying in Bergamo

Atalanta might lose Teun Koopmeiners and are considering some midfield reinforcements, but they’ll likely continue to lean on Mario Pasalic in the future. His agent Marko Naletilic stated that a renewal was on the horizon speaking to Tuttomercatoweb.

“He has a year on his contract, and he’s very happy. He’s comfortable in Bergamo, and he’s looking forward to playing in the Super Cup against Real Madrid.”

“We’re bargaining with the brass and have an excellent relationship with them. I think that it’ll be an elegant negotiation. I don’t expect any problems. Pasalic has a few suitors, but he’s fine at Atalanta, and everybody loves him. La Dea is absolutely the frontrunner for his services. I think our relationship will continue for a long time without a hitch.”

Naletilic also examined the key clash between Croatia and Italy.

“The approach will be important. Whoever makes the fewest mistakes will prevail. Ivan Perisic isn’t in great shape due to injury, but he’s the most important player besides Luka Modric. He’s a champion but has great character and grit. My client is a pillar at this point. They are going through a generational turnover. They have a few talented players that aren’t very well-known yet, like Dinamo Zagreb’s Martin Baturina and RB Salzburg’s Luka Sucic, who might start.”

Pasalic joined Atalanta back in 2020 in a €15M move from Chelsea. He has accumulated over 250 appearances since, scoring 53 goals and providing 34 assists.
