The price tag of the starlet has quickly risen in the past two years, but it’s still reasonable. A €12/15M investment could be enough to lure him, but the competition is quickly intensifying.
Baturina isn’t as physical as the players Atalanta usually target for the position, but he is already versatile, which is a skill they look for. He can playing as a central midfielder as well. However, he tends to fare better when given freedom to move around. He has drawn comparisons with Luka Modric in his home country.
The Dinamo Zagreb product has 62 matches in the SuperSport HNL under his belt, where he has hit the net 9 times and set up 20 teammates. He has starred 14 times with Croatia U-21, while he has yet to debut with the senior team.

While it’s obviously very early, it’s easy to imagine Atalanta would spread the profits through a few purchases if they sold Teun Koopmeiners, acquiring at least a couple of promising talents from abroad. He easily fits the mold of the players they routinely sign.
