Barcelona Eye Napoli Ace Di Lorenzo for Right Wing Reinforcement

Barcelona have had huge problems covering their right wing with a fullback in recent season, especially since the departure of legendary Brazilian Dani Alves. Hector Bellerin and Sergi Roberto are tow available right-backs for Xavi Hernandez but the Spaniards are far from content with their choices.

As per Catalan newspaper Sport, Napoli wingback Giovanni Di Lorenzo is a name of interest to the Barcelona management. However, his transfer valuation by the Partenopei is regarded as high above Barca’s spending capacity, due to recent financial complications the club has recently undergone.

Di Lorenzo has emerged in the past couple of seasons to be one of Italy’s most consistent and top-level wingbacks. The 29-year-old’s contract in the south of Italy expires only in the summer of 2026.

Thomas Meunier from Borussia Dortmund, Villarreal’s Juan Foyth and Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich are three other candidates to have been shortlisted by the Blaugrana.
