After being heavily engaged within the winter transfer window, Barcelona are prepared to further enhance the depth within their squad as they initiate talks for the Milan starlet Rafael Leao.
So far this season, the Portuguese winger has been in sizzling-hot form as he managed to score 11 goals and provide six assists in 31 appearances across all competitions for the Rossoneri throughout this year’s campaign. As a result, his magnificent displays have attracted an immense amount of interest from numerous European giants.
According to Sport, the La Liga giants are monitoring Leao very closely as they are keen in signing the promising attacker in order to implement more options within the front-line of attack. With Ousmane Dembele potentially on his way out next season, La Blaugrana have moved quickly as they have already contacted Leao’s agent Jorge Mendes regarding a possible move to the Camp Nou next season.
As it stands, Leao’s contract with Il Diavolo is set to expire in the summer of 2024. As a result, Milan claim that keeping Leao at the Stadio San Siro is a huge priority as the club officials strongly believe that the 22 year-old is vital asset and can play a major role in attaining silverware within the seasons to come, Corriere dello Sport reports.
