Milan reportedly possess concrete interest in luring a Brazilian starlet from Athletico Paranaense. Vitor Roque is the name in question – the 17-year-old attacking prodigy has started winning hearts due to admirable performances, most notably in the U20 South American Championship.
Having scored 6 goals and registered one assist in 8 appearances in the recently held tournament, Roque has attracted the attention of several top clubs, including Arsenal. As per the latest reports from Calciomercato, the center-forward is high on the wishlist of European heavyweights, including Chelsea, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Sportitalia confirms that it is the Blaugrana leading the transfer race for the attacking starlet. Barcelona have two trump cards up their sleeve, with the player’s agent being Andre Cury, a former scout for the club, and technical advisor Deco being close to Athletico Paranaense director Luiz Felipe Scolari, Brazil’s World Cup winning coach.
Roque is contracted with the Curitiba-based club until the summer of 2027 but is already valued at a whopping amount of €30M.
Milan are keen to onboard a new striker, with Noah Okafor, Rasmus Hojlund, and Marco Asensio the main targets.
