Barcelona Snub Dybala, Atletico Madrid and Inter Lead Race

Paulo Dybala has started looking for a new home after Juventus announced that they will not offer him a new contract. His agent met with Inter, but the striker appears in no rush to strike a deal. Reports from Spain suggest that Barcelona are not keen on him and that he would like to join Atletico Madrid.

According to TuttoSport, his representative Jorge Antun had a summit with the Nerazzurri bigwigs Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio. However, the talks were mostly preliminary. The parties did not go into detail on the sums. Inter manifested their interest but did not start a negotiation. Their executives are waiting to know from ownership what kind of budget they will have in the summer.

Dybala has Atletico Madrid atop his shortlist of destinations, Mundo Deportivo reports. He would like to be coached by Diego Simeone and is close with Rodrigo De Paul. The Colchoneros are seeking a pure no.9 as Luis Suarez might leave in the summer. Still, they are in the mix. They covet Lautaro Martinez, but Inter want at least €70M to sell their star, and such move is unlikely to happen.

Barcelona was mentioned among the potential landing spots for La Joya. However, coach Xavi considers him overrated and not apt to his tactical project, Catalan newspaper El Nacional informs. Real Madrid are not pursuing him either. His agent touched base with both Spanish heavyweights, receiving lukewarm responses. It is unclear whether Dybala is still asking for €10M wages or if he has lowered his demands.
