Bayern Munich and Inter icon Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed his amazement concerning the case against Juventus. Financial irregularities emerged from the accounts of the Bianconeri earlier this season, eventually being handed a 15-point deduction. However, that may not be the end of it, as Juventus are also being investigated for a potential ‘salary maneuver.’
In an exclusive interview with Corriere dello Sport (via TuttoNapoli), the football executive commented on Juventus’ antics off the pitch.
“I couldn’t believe what Juventus have done, I’ve never heard something similar in my life,” said Rummenigge. Juventus are a top club in Italy and Europe but they have scored an incredible own goal. I am sure they’ll be able to rebuild again at the right time.”

Juventus have appealed against FIGC’s points deduction after being cleared following a first trial. The case has been far-reaching, as Roma playmaker Paulo Dybala now risks being banned for one month following accusations of receiving a part of his salary ‘under the table’ a couple of years ago – against article 31 of the Code of Sporting Justice.
FIGC, led by Chief Prosecutor Giuseppe Chinè, and the Guardia Di Finanza are currently investigating the matter.
