Joshua Zirkzee has been running rampant recently and added another gem to his collection with a heel assist in the Coppa Italia upset versus Inter. His showings are inevitably attracting the attention of the top Serie A teams, starting with Milan, Napoli, and Juventus. However, his future will hinge on Bayern Munich’s decisions, Fabrizio Romano informs (via SOSFanta).
The marksman has a €40M clause in his contract with the Bologna. The Bavarian giants can match any offer, and it’d be up to the player to decide at that point. Moreover, they are entitled to 20 percent of his future sale. They can basically bring him back for €20M if he agrees.
Bologna are in the midst of a fantastic season and won’t negotiate the departure of any of their top players in January, Zirkzee included, although the fact that he has a set price tag muddies the waters.
Things will heat up around him especially in the summer. Considering his valuation, it’ll be hard for Serie A sides to win the race.
Our Take on Zirkzee
He’s more proof that sometimes youngsters just need patience, as he was poor at Parma a few years ago. He has peculiar traits for a center-forward, but he’ll be a superstar in the making if he keeps up his goal production, on top of interplaying with his teammates in pristine fashion. He’d be a terrific fit for Milan since they have prolific wingers that like to attack the box.
