Bayern Munich Major Threat to Juventus for Ajax Starlet

Bayern Munich are seriously challenging Juventus to sign Ryan Gravenberch. The Bavarian giants already submitted their opening bid, but Ajax deemed it too low. The youngster is said to be one of the main targets for the Bianconeri to bolster their midfield.

According to De Telegraaf, the German club offered €25M, while the Dutch side requests €35M. The starlet has just one more year left on his contract. He has ruled out a Bosman move, and he is highly unlikely to extend his contract. Therefore, he will probably depart in the summer.

Juventus put on the table the same sum as Bayern Munich for Gravenberch, the publication adds. Ajax are trying to drum up a bidding war in spite of the contractual situation of the 19-year-old midfielder. The Bianconeri are hopeful to get an assist from his agent Mino Raiola, with whom they have cooked up several deals in recent years. Real Madrid are also among the teams eyeing him.

The Dutch international addressed the links to the German champions in an interview with NOS: “We are certainly speaking about a top club. Such evaluation is something to be proud of since it is a lot of money. I am aware of their interest. My father and my agent are handling the matter.”

Juventus will have to counter quickly to avoid being beaten by Bayern Munich in the race to sign Gravenberch. The Bianconeri are seeking a dynamic box-to-box as they will use 4-3-3 more regularly following the departure of Paulo Dybala.
