Bayern Munich Take an Interest in Milan Defender Kalulu

As Thomas Tuchel announced, Bayern Munich wish to onboard a quality defender before sending Benjamin Pavard to Inter, and they have laid eyes on the other side of the Navigli, as they are keen on Pierre Kalulu, Sky relays (via Goal).

Like his compatriot, the Milan youngster can also feature as a center-back or on the defensive flank. It’s unlikely his side will sign off on his departure this late, but it depends on the offer.

Bayern Munich also shortlisted Trevoh Chalobah and Lutsharel Geertruida on top of Kalulu. The Chelsea talent is the manager’s favorite, as he already coached him in the past, but he’s not considered for sale by his club.

The Rossoneri starlet has played just 17 minutes in the first two matches. He has been used more as a fullback in the preseason since Davide Calabria was banged up, and they lacked alternatives. Fikayo Tomori and Malick Thiaw have been the starters in the middle of the defense to open the campaign.

Our Take on Bayern Munich and Kalulu

Milan will probably reject the bid quickly, but despite his potential, the call isn’t so cut-and-dried. They are in good shape at his position. Using the money to purchase an energic fullback who could be the deputy on either flank would aptly round out their corps.
