According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Goal), the gaffer will ask the Bavarians to try orchestrating the Dutchman’s return. It wouldn’t be particularly challenging money-wise. The striker has a €40M release clause, plus they are owed 40 percent of the fee. Therefore, they’d spend just about €25M.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich will have to convince Zirkzee to leave Bologna and return to the Bundesliga. The spell at Anderlecht was highly instrumental to his growth. He bagged 18 goals and logged 13 assists in 47 matches after struggling to emerge in previous years.
The 23-year-old has been linked especially to Milan and Arsenal. Despite the set price to acquire him, the deal isn’t so straightforward due to the commissions asked by his agent, which might scare off some suitors.
