Federico Bernardeschi Lauds Napoli Ace as Serie A’s Best Player

Toronto FC forward Federico Bernardeschi believes Juventus might be stronger than Napoli, but it is the Partenopei who possess the strongest player in Serie A. The league leaders have been in terrific form this season, unbeaten on the domestic front and tasting just one defeat the whole campaign so far.

The former Bianconeri ace had his say on Juventus in an exclusive talk with La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TuttoNapoli), but also shed light on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who he believes to be the strongest player in the league.

“Juve is in total running and potentially has a stronger squad than Napoli, who are doing crazy things and have an extraordinary player, Kvaratskhelia. For me he is the strongest of the A, for years I have not seen one so complete: he has the perfect leg, physique, speed and intelligence.

However, Bernardeschi thinks Napoli will struggle to keep hold of him come next summer, with a host of top clubs already eyeing a blockbuster move for the Georgian. Juventus were also close to signing him once upon a time.

“Napoli will struggle to keep him in the summer despite his personality and devastating speed.”

Finally, Bernardeschi backed Juve to get back to their title-winning form from January when the season resumes.

“In the last few races I have reviewed the real Juve, armored behind and in front, They have too much quality to not be able to score. In January with the full squad it will be hard to stop them”.

Brunelleschi left the Bianconeri after five seasons, wherein he racked up 183 appearances across all competitions.
