Serie A teams returned to action at the weekend after the final international break of the year closed its curtains last week. With 36 goals in ten games, it was one of the highest scoring rounds of the season so far.
The key game of Round 13 took us to the city of Milan, where last season’s Serie A winners Inter hosted current league leaders Napoli. The Nerazzurri celebrated a much-needed win, defeating Luciano Spalletti’s men 3-2 to close the gap to four points. In the other games, Milan suffered their first defeat of the season, a 4-3 loss to Fiorentina.

Fiorentina were simply magnificent on Saturday night, beating Milan 4-3 after already leading 3-0 after an hour.

Even when Milan are not at their best, one player is always expected to deliver an impressive attacking performance, no matter what the circumstances.

Joining his teammate on the list is Antonin Barak, Verona’s central attacking midfielder. The 26-year-old Czech international scored the opening goal on Monday night to pave the way for victory.
