Beto Agent Believes He Would Properly Succeed Osimhen

Udinese marksman Norberto Beto has been linked to Napoli as a possible heir for Victor Osimhen, who will be the subject of a bidding war next summer. His agent Paulo Regula believes he would be up to the task if he joined the Azzurri, as he told Sportitalia.

“He has played at a high level after recovering from a big injury last season. He returned well, and he’s fully getting back into shape, scoring and having strong showings like the one versus Milan. I firmly believe Portugal will call him up at some point. He’s a very focused guy who works hard and deserves what he has earned. His numbers speak loudly. He has been playing in a top league like Serie A for a year and a half. He’ll surely have the opportunity to showcase his skills with the national team too. He was already part of the provisional squad ahead World Cup.”

Regula was quizzed about Napoli eyeing Beto.

“His achievements are noticeable, and the big clubs are taking note. His performances aren’t normal for somebody coming from a second-tier outfit. It’s natural for him to draw interest from top teams. I’m convinced he would reach the same level as Victor Osimhen. After a period of adaptation and an injury, he has put up numbers that prove just that. He has scored nine goals and provided one assist this campaign. It’s an important tally for somebody that just arrived in one of the most challenging leagues in Europe.”
