Bidding War Escalates for Sassuolo Midfield Star Frattesi

Davide Frattesi is bound to transfer to either Inter, Roma or Milan, with the following week set to be instrumental in deciding his future. The former two are leading the transfer race to lure Frattesi away from Sassuolo, but it is the Nerazzurri who have long been in pole position in recent weeks.

Latest reports from Corriere dello Sport indicate that the Giallorossi sporting director Tiago Pinto took advantage of the recent offloading to the Neroverdi to strike talks for Frattesi.

Having reiterated the intention to sign the 23-year-old, Roma are reportedly ready to shell €30M, while he is currently valued at €40M. Above all, Roma hold 30% of the player’s resale, which means Pinto would divert only about half or lesser than €30M into Sassuolo’s coffers.

However, Inter have appeared as frontrunners for Frattesi in recent weeks, especially after the potential transfer of Marcelo Brozovic to Al-Nassr. A meeting has been scheduled tomorrow between Inter chief Beppe Marotta, the player’s agent Beppe Riso and Sassuolo patron Giovanni Carnevali.

The Nerazzurri are expected to channel the transfer fee for Brozovic directly towards Frattesi, and also include Samuele Mulattieri in the deal. But it is just not Inter and Roma, as Milan have been asked to pay the full €40M for Frattesi, given the Rossoneri have no potential makeweight to add Sassuolo’s way.
