Bodo/Glimt Star Welcomes Ties to Roma, Praises Mourinho

After facing him three times this season, Roma are eyeing Ola Solbakken. He missed one of the four meetings against Bodo/Glimt due to the flu. He bagged three goals in two matches versus the Giallorossi in the group stage of the European Conference League.

The attacker addressed the links in an interview with Dagbladet: “It is nice and fun to know that they are interested. But I do not have further comments beyond that. In any case, it does not mean much since the transfer market is not open at this stage. José Mourinho is a great coach, there is no denying that. He has won many important titles.”

The contract of the winger runs out in December. According to ReteSport, Roma are in advanced talks with Solbakken on personal terms for a Bosman move. Moreover, they will try to negotiate with the Norwegian side to bring him in for a low fee in the summer.

Lazio are also pursuing Solbakken but appear to be trailing Roma in the race. The 23-year-old has tallied 8 goals and 5 assists across all competitions so far this season. He has been particularly effective in Europe, hitting the net 7 times in 15 appearances.

Bodo/Glimt made it to the quarter-finals of the third continental competition after qualifying through the playoffs. They were eliminated by Roma, which exacted revenge at Stadio Olimpico after a drubbing in the initial phase. The forward can play on either flank and has two caps with the national team. He is currently recovering from ankle surgery.
