Bologna and Nottingham Delve into Talks for Dominguez

While Bologna are in talks to keep Nicolas Dominguez, the Rossoblù captain is also hunted by two foreign clubs. The Milan target has already received a bid from Turkey, a €13M offer from Fenerbahce, which was turned down outright, as it failed to meet Bologna’s valuation expectation of at least €15-20M.

According to Corriere di Bologna (Via TuttoBolognaweb), Nottingham Forest and Galatasaray are both interested in Dominguez. However, it is the Premier League outfit with whom Bologna can find a middle point as they continue to negotiate for ex-Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler.

With about a week left in the summer transfer market, perhaps a swap transfer could be executed by the two sides in order to fulfill their respective needs.

Without a contract extension, the Rossoblù will be forced to come to terms with Dominguez leaving for free next summer instead of bagging a sizeable transfer income.

Our Take on Dominguez

The former Velez midfielder has proved to be a significant part of Thiago Motta’s plans for about a year now. He has established himself as a fan favorite at the Dall’Ara but has failed to reach an agreement with the club for an extension, which may very well be struck in the coming days. However, the lure of playing in the Premier League could be hard to turn down.
