Bologna Reject Fenerbahce Bid for Milan Target Dominguez

It is no secret that Bologna are hearing out offers to sell Nicolas Dominguez, most recently being alerted of Milan’s interest and rejecting Fenerbahce’s €13M bid. The Rossoblù intend to lure at least €15-20M in their coffers as they prepare to part ways with the Argentine-Italian, whose contract expires at the end of next season.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport (via ViolaNews), Dominguez’s agent has touched down in Bologna to open talks with the club for a potential renewal. However, an exit is more than likely for Dominguez, who is courted by several top sides including Fiorentina, Sevilla, and Milan.

Out of all the suitors, it is the Viola or the Rossoneri which are expected to table a bid that would seal the deal. Fiorentina have made the signing of a central midfielder a priority amid Sofyan Amrabat’s exit links, whereas Milan are in the same boat regarding Rade Krunic.

Without a contract extension, the Rossoblù will be forced to come to terms with Dominguez leaving for free next summer, instead of bagging a sizeable transfer income

Our Take on the Dominguez exit saga

Dominguez is a worthwhile midfielder capable of adding to any team’s midfield line. At Fiorentina, the 25-year-old will be expected to fill in Amrabat’s shoes. Meanwhile, at Milan, he will arrive as Rade Krunic’s replacement, which to be fair, is not the toughest ask. He is yet to reach his peak and any transfer to a club where he can garner the necessary minutes would be welcome.
