Borussia Dortmund Keen on Juventus, Fiorentina and Lazio Goalies

Borussia Dortmund are planning to move on from Roman Burki in the summer and are considering few Serie A goalkeepers to replace him, such as Wojciech Szczesny, Bartlomiej Dragowski and Thomas Strakosha, Sky Sport Deutschland reported.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus will not sell their starter, unless they somehow manage to lure Gianluigi Donnarumma away from Milan and sign him as a free agent, a scenario that is considered improbable but remains possible until the Rossoneri extend his contract. Fiorentina plan to hold onto Dragowski as well, but he might be in high demand as he is putting together a very solid campaign.

The easier option is Strakosha, who lost the starting job at Lazio in favor of Pepe Reina this season. The player commented in an interview: “Borussia Dortmund is a great team, very young and talented. I think it will grow a lot in the future, moving there would be interesting, they have a fantastic atmosphere when the stadium is packed. I would be lying if I said I was not interested, who would not be intrigued by the proposal of this kind of club? I am open to new challenges, Rome is my second home but Bundesliga would be an excellent next step for me.

Strakosha has not been able to stay healthy this year, as he battled Coronavirus in October, which triggered the change between the sticks that he has not been able to reverse after healing, as he also had to deal with a thigh problem and is currently recovering from a knee injury. He has collected 174 appearances with the Biancocelesti over the last five campaigns.
