Bremer Drops Hint About His Preference for the Future

Bremer weighed on a few Serie A opponents and his future in an interview, indicating that he has a precise tactical preference in picking his next home. “The coach and I decide together how to face the main striker in any given game. For instance, Victor Osimhen is quicker than me, and therefore I can not try to forestall him, and I have to give him some room. Instead, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not fast, and so I can try to beat him to the punch.”

“I waited a little to figure out Dusan Vlahovic, but I knew he was more comfortable with his left foot. You have to study any adversary to understand his strengths and weakness. It helps you a lot. I would have followed him to the ends of the earth that day.”

Bremer was asked whether he is the best defender in Serie A or the hardest worker in the chat with DAZN: “Surely the second, but getting to the top is a direct consequence. The deeper you are on the pitch, the closer you have to stay to your enemy. You have to be glued to him in the box. I am always hunting for the ball to then start an offensive action.”

“I have gotten used to a three-man defense, which helped me blossom. If I could choose, I would go with it.” Among his Italian suitors, Inter are the only ones using it consistently.

Bremer weighed him on his models: “Lucio was my idol. Nowadays, a defender also has to be able to play the ball, especially with coaches like Ivan Juric and Gian Piero Gasperini. Virgil Van Dijk is the best in the world right now, while Sergio Ramos is struggling with injuries. Kalidou Koulibaly is the top center-back in Serie A.”
