Cambiaso Committed to Juventus Despite Real Madrid Buzz

Andrea Cambiaso has been linked to Real Madrid a few times in the past and also recently, as they’ll need to replace Dani Carvajal in January. However, he rebuffed the chatter as he’s perfectly happy at Juventus. He gave an interview to Corriere dello Sport.

“Just being attached to a team like that seems like something larger than me. I’m proud of the possible suitors. It’s pleasing and stimulating to know that you’re appreciated. I’ve never received proposals. Anyway, Juventus are my Real Madrid. I’ve extended my contract until 2029, and I’d like to stay as long as possible. The Bianconeri represent the history of Italian football, a second family, and a great arrival point for my career.”

Cambiaso took stock of the title race.

“We belong in the top positions, and this team must always play to win. Inter are the favorites, and there’ll be the head-to-head clash soon. Lazio and Stuttgart will be big obstacles beforehand. We’re among the best.”

Cambiaso dished on his last two coaches.

“At Bologna, Thiago Motta made me discover things I had never seen. He’s even more determined now. We don’t have precise roles but rather occupy the spaces. He has his own method of handling the group and never lets us know the XI until a few hours before the game, which raises the level of the practices and the internal competition. Plus, he can always pull one out of the hat. He’s often successful with that, which means that he’s a visionary. I love Massimiliano Allegri, and Massimiliano Landucci was always close to me too. He helped me find the right mental balance, as you can derail if you’re overeager.”
