Canadian Prodigy Falls on Inter Radar as Dumfries Heir

Inter have come across an interesting profile to take over as Denzel Dumfries’ heir if the Dutchman goes through the exit door in the upcoming transfer window(s). Dumfries experienced a boost in his market value – to around the €60M mark – on the back of impressive performances at the 2022 World Cup.

Latest indications from Corriere dello Sport (via FCInterNews) point the finger towards up-and-coming Canada wingback Tajon Buchanan to arrive at the Stadio Meazza. The youngster arrived in Club Brugge only in January of this year from New England, but has already impressed top clubs.

There is also said to be interest from Milan, Juventus, and league leaders Napoli. Apart from the Italian giants, Premier League sides Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also being linked to the 23-year-old.

Buchanan functions in a similar role to Dumfries and also possesses similar abilities down the flanks; offensive minded, good dribbling and defensive rigidness. He currently plays in a module that varies between 3-4-1-2 and 3-5-2 at Club Brugge, similar to what Simone Inzaghi implements at Inter.

Inter are expecting to receive first-hand offers for Dumfries. Depending on the Dutchman’s future, the Nerazzurri are very well poised to lure Buchanan.
