Capital Giants Roma and Lazio Approach Norwegian Sensation

Roma’s 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Bodo/Glimt a fortnight ago was a scene of successive horrors by the Italian natives. The Giallorossi welcomed the Norwegians in the second leg of their group stage encounters but failed to establish any kind of redemption in their 2-2 draw at the Stadio Olimpico.

However, both matches have drawn the attention of sporting director Tiago Pinto and coach Jose Mourinho to the talent of one particular striker – Erik Botheim, who starred in both games against Roma at his full strength.

According to reports from Norwegian outlet TV2, the 21-year-old prodigy and Oslo native is eagerly eyed by not only Roma, but also eternal rivals Lazio. However, the Giallorossi are already said to have started negotiations for Botheim.

Having caught the attention of the capital clubs and his contract fast approaching its end in December 2022, Bodo/Glimt might just respond positively to the right sum of money for the Rosenberg youth product.

He has a transfermarkt value of €600,000. The Norwegian giants will undoubtedly look to cash in on his services instead of letting him go as a free transfer, making it highly probable that he could join Milan winger Jens Petter Hauge as he club’s most expensive transfer – around the €5m mark.
