Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has received flattering praise from another former Serie A coach, Jose Mourinho, shortly after another European success. The ‘Special One‘ called Carletto ‘a proper coach‘ as he paid tribute to the most successful figure in Champions League history.
Ancelotti was the mastermind behind Real Madrid’s record-extending 15th Champions League title. Los Merengues edged out Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in Saturday’s Wembley final, cementing the Italian’s legacy and making him the best-performing manager in the competition’s storied history.
It was his fifth Champions League triumph as a manager. After steering Milan to two titles from the dugout, Ancelotti has won his third with the newly-crowned La Liga champions, a feat that has not gone unnoticed in the football society.
Among many prominent figures to congratulate Ancelotti for his astounding success was Mourinho. Just named the new Fenerbahce coach – six months after being sacked by Roma – the Portuguese tactician waxed lyrical about his Real Madrid counterpart.
