Sassuolo chief Giovanni Carnevali has not ruled out Davide Frattesi staying at the club for next season, if no worthy offers arrive into the coffers of the Neroverdi. Inter, Roma and Milan have been going at each other in the transfer market to secure the midfield ace’s signature, but nothing concrete has so far materialized.
Carnevali spoke to Sportmediaset (via FCInterNews) ahead of the opening of the 2023 summer transfer market regarding developments surrounding the Frattesi saga.
“Today the transfer market begins, in this fantastic setting and let’s see who will pull off this master stroke. We will meet Inter, but also many other clubs. Right now several clubs have the possibility of signing him, not only Inter and Roma, but what I can say is none of the proposals arrived so far satisfies us.”
Carnevali believes the value of Frattesi is higher than the proposals they have been receiving. He did not throw away the talk of the 23-year-old potentially staying with the Neroverdi for another season or so.
“We believe that the value of Frattesi is superior. We are in good shape as a club, having made important sales last year. If there are opportunities, fine, otherwise we will continue with Frattesi next season.”
