Inter and his CEO Giuseppe Marotta hoped to strike a deal with Milan Skriniar by the start of the World Cup, which obviously didn’t happen.

Chelsea Ponder Swap After Inter Reject PSG Bid for Skriniar

New PSG sporting director Luis Campos has already started peering his eyes onto bolstering his side’s ranks, especially in defense, with Inter defender Milan Skriniar on the top of their wishlist, but Chelsea are eyeing him as well.

According to FootMercato, the French side has offered €50M for the highly-rated stopper, keeping in mind the transfer of Sergio Ramos that hasn’t gone as planned. Despite the 27-year-old’s contract expiring at the end of next season and PSG putting their arms forward, Inter are not ready to let go of their prized player.

In the midst of the transfer saga, Chelsea are edging up their interest in Skriniar after PSG saw their bid get rejected. The Blues are pondering to include Ruben Loftus-Cheek in a swap deal that would see the youngster become one more English addition to Serie A, as per The Daily Mail. Cash is also expected to be added to the deal.

The Nerazzurri could indeed be interested in the 26-year-old as they plan to part ways with Arturo Vidal, Roberto Gagliardini and Stefano Sensi in the midfield, Corriere della Sera informs. He has been linked also to Lazio and Roma in the past.

The 26-year-old is understood to be surplus addition to Thomas Tuchel’s plans next season. Moreover, the links between Chelsea and the Nerazzurri are strengthening with each passing day, especially considering Romelu Lukaku’s presence as leverage in any potential deal.
