Chelsea Scouts in Monza for Osimhen But Move Unlikely

Scouts from Chelsea were present in the stands of the U-Power Stadium yesterday in Monza’s win against Napoli, Corriere dello Sport relays (via OneFootball). The newly crowned Scudetto winners were given a reality check by a strong Biancorossi performance. Indifferent to the result, however, they were present for one objective only – Victor Osimhen.

However, the Blues are expected to pull out of the race after a shambolic season, which will now see them finish in the bottom half of the Premier League table and way off any European place. The latter reason is purely why they will not participate any further in the race to secure the striker.

Despite the Nigerian’s dream of starring in the English top flight, he is bound to discard Chelsea as an option given the club’s precarious situation. Playing in the UEFA Champions League is of utmost importance to Osimhen, and the Blues providing that opportunity in the coming season(s) is next to impossible.

Bayern Munich have also backtracked in recent weeks due to Napoli’s valuation of their prized possession, but Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Liverpool are all still said to be interested in signing the star despite the tag of €150M bestowed upon him.
