Chelsea Trying to Hijack PSG Deal for Inter Star By Offering Two Players

Chelsea have joined PSG in the race to sign Achraf Hakimi from Inter. The Moroccan right-back is their centerpiece that has the most chances to leave this summer. However, the Nerazzurri have held firm in their demands and have rejected €60M offers from both sides. The Blues could have an advantage because they have some bargaining chips that could entice the Italian club, Sky Sport reports.

Inter have been linked to Emerson Palmieri multiple times in the past. They consider him the top choice for the left flank, where Ivan Perisic is likely to be sold because of his high salary. The contract of the Italian international expires in 2022, but Chelsea have a unilateral option to extend it for another season. That is why they have been asking for €15/20M to the Serie A teams that inquired about him.

The new name that could interest the Beneamata is Andreas Christensen, who has had a part-time role in the last three seasons. He already has some experience in a three-man line since Tomas Tuchel employed it after being hired. Chelsea may soon become the frontrunners for Hakimi if they inserted their two defenders in the package.

Inter are also working on some extensions and have offered one-year deals to Andrea Ranocchia and Ashley Young, who were previously believed to be on their way out. They triggered a clause to keep Danilo D’Ambrosio, who has some suitors. Zinho Vanheudsen could stay in the roster after a loan spell to Standard Liege to provide some depth in the back next season.
