Juventus and Liverpool went ahead and completed the transfer of Federico Chiesa as Barcelona didn’t send any tangible signal in the last couple of days. The Bianconeri will pocket just enough to avoid a loss on the books, La Stampa informs.
The winger will move for €12/15M and will sign a four-year contract. He left Turin on a private jet on Wednesday afternoon. He had been frozen out from the squad earlier in the summer since his camp and the hierarchy didn’t find common ground on an extension.
Chiesa quickly okayed the switch to Liverpool, while Juventus were willing to settle for a meager fee to prevent a Bosman departure. The Italian international talked to Sky before leaving.
