Chiesa in Prime Position to Earn Juventus Contract Extension

Federico Chiesa might soon earn a contract extension from the Juventus board following impressive performances in the new season. His match-winning displays so far have earned him great praise, and the Bianconeri could tie the EURO 2020 winner for a further two years, extending his stay until 2027.

The 25-year-old suffered a lengthy injury layoff last season but has since made a fantastic recovery to revive himself as one of Serie A‘s most feared forwards.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Fali Ramadani, the player’s agent, has reportedly already held talks with Juventus over a potential renewal subject to his performances. However, Cristiano Giuntoli and co. come forward in an attempt to gain extra leverage in negotiations for Chiesa, as he would normally enter the final year of his contract next season.

Max Allegri has already given heed to the Azzurri star’s presence, backing him to increase his scoring exploits.

“Is Chiesa a striker for me? Federico is finding enthusiasm playing there. He must score between 14 and 16 goals over the course of a season.”

Our Take on the Chiesa Renewal

Extending Chiesa’s stay in Turin is a win-win situation for both Juventus as well as the player. While Chiesa will be able to continue etching himself as a Juventus icon, the Bianconeri themselves could open out their payment process to Fiorentina over a longer period i.e. further amortize the €60M payment.
