Per TuttoSport (via OneFootball), Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, Al-Alhi, and Al-Nassr reached out to his agent Fali Ramadani a month and a half ago. They tendered three-year contracts with €20M annual wages. However, he wasn’t interested in the destination.
The teams in question eventually lured Allan Saint-Maximin, Riyad Mahrez, and others with that budget. Instead, Chiesa will likely stay at Juventus, even though some Premier League sides inquired earlier in the summer.
The Italian attacker seems determined to bounce back in Turin after a forgettable campaign following an ACL tear. He earned the praise of the coaches during the pre-season retreat and was one of their liveliest players in the first friendly against Milan.
