Cesc Fabregas is in his dreamland after his spirited Como side overturned a halftime deficit in a stunning 3-2 away win against Atalanta on Tuesday.

Como Manager Cesc Fabregas Outlines His Dream After Decent Serie A Start

Como manager Cesc Fabregas dreams of guiding the Lariani to European qualification in their first season in Serie A since the start of the century. After over 20 years of wandering in lower-tier divisions, they earned top-flight promotion last term and have pulled off several standout results this season.

A come-from-behind 3-2 victory against Atalanta remains the highlight of their Serie A campaign thus far. However, Como must still show consistency to find a way out of the bottom half of the table after entering October’s international break narrowly off 10th-placed Empoli.

Despite being stuck in 14th, Como sit only three points adrift of sixth-placed Milan following a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Napoli last time out. Fabregas, who enjoyed a trophy-laden playing career, is enthusiastic about the club’s ambitious project and hopes to lead his side to unimaginable heights.

I really liked the project when I started talking to the club. I was looking for a long-term project. They gave me the opportunity to end my playing career and start my coaching career,Fabregas explained his decision to link up with Como, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio.

My dream is to take Como as far as possible. Now we also have a growing sports center and a great staff.

Como in Europe? It’s not crazy to think about it, it’s a dream. We hope to achieve it one day.

Como will resume their Serie A journey on October 19 with a home clash against fellow promoted rivals Parma.
