Tottenham Weigh Up Interest in Juventus Midfielder

New Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has already begun jotting down his transfer wishlist to hand over to chairman Daniel Levy and sporting director Fabio Paratici, in a bid to reinforce his squad and overturn the club’s shabby start to the Premier League season.

He has already made his intention known of luring familiar faces from Serie A, but an interest in Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie is a first. According to reports from Calciomercato, the Tottenham are keen on bringing in a worthy central midfielder and USMNT star McKennie is on top of the list.

The English club’s interest in the American midfielder is not new, having followed him throughout the summer for a potential move.

His Juventus future has been doubted ever since last season ended, having been suspected to be the first departure from the club, but he never left. Instead, he is finding increasing game time under Massimiliano Allgeri.

Nonetheless, the Bianconeri would be willing to listen to offers for the 23-year-old in the right price range – around the €20m mark. The former Schalke defensive midfielder currently has a transfermarkt value of €25m.
