Correa Reiterates Desire to Bolt from Lazio, English Trio Shows Interest

Joaquin Correa has reported to Lazio following Copa America and had his first face-to-face meeting with Maurizio Sarri. The player still wishes to leave, as the sit-down did not change his mind, Calciomercato.com reports. The coach had instead successfully contributed to appeasing the tricky situation related to Luis Alberto.

The Argentinian international will not hold out and will participate in the pre-season retreat in Marienfeld. However, he expects to depart by the end of the window. Lazio will try to make it happen on their own terms and are looking to get at least €30M.

Inter are monitoring him, but only if they sold Lautaro Martinez. The negotiation with PSG for a deal that would have involved Pablo Sarabia has hit a dead end. The specialized site adds that Tottenham, Arsenal, and Everton are all eyeing him. Director Igli Tare believes selling him to a Premier League club would be the best way to get the desired sum.

Lazio need the money to comply with some federal financial parameters. For such reason, they have yet to announce all their summer additions. The contracts of Felipe Anderson, Elseid Hysaj, Filip Kamenovic, and Luka Romero have not been deposited to the League’s office even though they have been practicing with the team for some time.

The Biancocelesti would add a pure winger if they could properly cash in on Correa. Filip Kostic is atop their list, but he is an extra-EU player, like Felipe Anderson and Kamenovic. If they managed to sign the Eintracht Frankfurt ace, the young fullback would move elsewhere next season.
