Thiago Motta will be the belle of the ball of the next coaching carousel considering Bologna’s scintillating performances. The coach kept his options open by not agreeing to a new contract before the start of the season. His agent Alessandro Canovi invited not to dwell on his future at this stage in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb.
“He’s very focused and simply thinks game after game. There’s no alternative to taking it step by step. The attention toward him is normal and a pleasing surprise, but it results from his daily hard work. Steering away from such a vision would be foolish. It’s one of the secrets of these lads. But my wish is that the press would let us enjoy this moment rather than always ask about what he will do next year.”
When pressed about a potential renewal for Thiago Motta, Canovi didn’t go into detail.
“It’s not a way to skirt the question, but we’ll see at the right moment. We want to savor what he’s accomplishing. The credit goes to everybody at Bologna.”
Canovi dished on two more coaches on top of Thiago Motta.
“Daniele De Rossi is making his team fare well in Serie A. The squad is confirming its quality, and he’s bringing something to the table tactically. He’s playing his cards well. Napoli’s Francesco Calzona assisted bosses of the caliber of Luciano Spalletti and Maurizio Sarri. As is the case for the Roma manager, he has a lot on his plate.”
