Cremonese Loanee Midfielder Fagioli Keen to Fight for Juventus Place

Despite falling two points short of clinching the Serie B title, Cremonese have impressed more than most enroute to securing qualification to the top-tier for the first time since 1995/96.

They will be playing in just an 8th Serie A campaign in their 119-year history.

And an important part of the Serie B side’s squad is Nicolo Fagioli, the midfielder on loan from Juventus as he provided 7 assists and scored 3 goals in 33 appearances for the Lombardy outfit. He spoke of his exploits with the club in an interview, as relayed by the Cult of Calcio.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via TUTTOmercatoweb), Cremonese’s promotion to the top-tier might prompt the Bianconeri to extend his loan stay – for the midfielder’s own good with respect to his development despite him wanting to return to Turin as he believes he can compete within the Bianconeri squad.

While he will struggle to find first team experience by virtue of Juventus’ midfield ranks, the midfielder is reportedly eager to sit out and fight for his place.

Massimiliano Allegri is expected to boil down to a decision soon enough by consulting the upper management.

But Fagioli is not the only young Juventus player in contention to succeed with the first team next campaign, as Nicolo Rovella (Genoa), Fabio Miretti (Juventus U23), Filippo Ranocchia (Vicenza) have all impressed.
