Croatian Wing-Back Ivan Perisic Pledges Loyalty to Inter

Despite the talks regarding the Croatian wing-back’s extension with the Nerazzurri being prolonged, Ivan Perisic has pledged his loyalty to Inter and plans to stay at the San Siro.

With Perisic’s contract set to expire at the end of the current season, La Beneamanta were set to let the 33 year-old depart as a free agent due to his age and expensive wages. However, the Croatian international’s spectacular form of five goals and one assist within Serie A appearances have forced the Nerazzurri to reconsider their decision.

According to Tuttosport, the veteran wing-back pledged his loyalty to Inter and is keen on staying at the San Siro for an additional two seasons. The club officials are preparing to offer him a salary of 4.5M per season in order to secure him at the club for a longer period of time.

With Perisic’s brilliant displays so far this season, it is very likely that the 33 year-old will ask for an increase in wages as he has proven to be a vital asset for Inter across all competitions throughout this year’s campaign. The Nerazzurri plan to begin the negotiations in more detail following the upcoming international break.
