De Laurentiis Key to Executing Napoli Deal for Bari Duo

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis, who also serves as the honorary president of Serie B club Bari, plans to add two reputed players to the roster of the league leaders from the minnows. The Partenopei brought in Bartosz Bereszynski and Pierluigi Gollini from Sampdoria and Fiorentina respectively, but missed out on a few targets, including now Marseille player Azzedine Ounahi.

As per Calciomercato, Bari duo Cheddira and Elia Caprile are high on De Laurentiis’ shortlist for a summer tranfer. However, of the two, a deal is going to be difficult to execute for the former, given the presence of a 50% resale clause in the sale deal between Parma and Bari. The Gialloblu could profit upto €5M from a potential €10M offer by Napoli.

Cheddira is as close as a player can be to a transfer, whereas 21-year-old Caprile is on the same page. The Italian shotstopper has attracted the attention of Ajax and Bayern Munich, but Napoli are frontrunners for his signature.

Given the common denominator of president De Laurentiis, the Partenopei are well in contention to land both names come summer.
