De Rossi Already Looming Large over Juric at Roma

Ivan Juric started on the right foot, but the ensuing fixtures haven’t been convincing, to the point that the Roma fans are clamoring for the return of Daniele De Rossi. He was quickly dismissed earlier in the season also because of a power struggle with former CEO Lina Souloukou.

According to Libero, the players have looked confounded on the pitch. The new manager hasn’t seemed fully in control yet. He has defended his men. After eking it out versus Venezia, the Giallorossi played poorly against Elfsborg and Monza.

The design Juric has in mind for Roma is struggling to come together, while the shadow of De Rossi continues to be present at the Trigoria training center. The group was very attached to the former gaffer.

The Croat skipper inked a contract until the end of the season. Instead, the club icon is tied to the team until 2026. There have been no talks about an early termination so far.

Our Take on Roma, Juric, and De Rossi

The ex-midfielder is a cumbersome presence given his bond with the environment. Plus, it doesn’t help that the present boss is at his first go in a big team. The management needs to come out strongly to defend him, or the chatter will be loud after every misstep. While another coaching change would look ludicrous in other circumstances, the uniqueness of this one lies in the fact that Souloukou, who was the main proponent of the sacking, is no longer with the team. A return would feel like a restoration rather than lead to more chaos.

  1. You see what our Problem is…Mourinho brought life and hope to Roma. When we started winning and challenging for honours we forgot about the man behind the success. We wanted him to do the impossible with players that are good of course but not exceptional. We thought our team is now like Real Madrid, Chelsea, Barcelona…no! There we made a serious mistake, firing Mou was a mistake we shall forever regret. It is going to take us decades to get back to where Mou took us. Look at Man U today. Now they see Mou was infact, doing a great job, now they are regretting everyday, same as Roma. We messed up!!!
