Donnarumma Suffers Scarring Home Invasion Episode in Paris

Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner Alessia Elefante suffered a home invasion by a group of robbers in their apartment in the 8th arrondissement of Paris. The incident reportedly took place in the late hours of Thursday night.

Latest reports from French outlets (via Actu17) indicate that the perpetrators entered the player’s house by breaking the front door and inflicting assault on the two members before tying them up and absconding with goods worth €500K.

The victims were held captive for at least an hour before they managed to escape and find refuge in a hotel close to their residence. The hotel employees reportedly took care of the duo and alerted the local authorities. Donnarumma and his girlfriend were later admitted to the hospital for medical checks.

A robbery and assault investigation has been opened by the Gendarmerie, particularly the Brigade de répression du banditisme, a division of the Paris Judicial Police.

This is not the first incident of PSG players ending up as victims of home robberies. Angel Di Maria, Mauro Icardi Thiago Silva, and others have also been on the receiving end of such damage.
