Radu Dragusin formally completed his Tottenham switch on Thursday night. Genoa obtained Djed Spence on loan with a €10M option to buy, on top of a €25M fee plus add-ons. His agent Florin Manea spilled the beans to Tuttomercatoweb.
“We have been talking with the Spurs for two months. The last day before departing, Bayern Munich came forward, and it was normal to consider them, but he kept his word.”
A pair of Italian sides tried to sign Dragusin, but Tottenham bested them.
“Napoli moved the most concretely. However, he didn’t want to join another Serie A team or leave Genoa midseason. He thought more about their fans than his career. Milan inquired too. I spoke with director Geoffrey Moncada but told him that we have already chosen. We’re happy with it. Radu is always loyal.”
The agent Dragusin further motivated the transfer to Tottenham.
