Inter and Denzel Dumfries have been negotiating a new contract in recent months with major optimism about a positive result, and that will indeed be the case. The wingback will put pen to paper shortly after the end of the window, Fabrizio Romano informs.
The parties are discussing the final aspects of the contract. It could envisage a release clause, Calciomercato informs. The matter is still being finalized. It might amount to €15/20M.
Dumfries will jump from €2.5M to €4M annual wages once he inks his new Inter deal. Since it’s an extension, the team will keep benefitting from the fiscal advantages of the ‘Decreto Crescita.’ He wasn’t necessarily a lock to stay put this summer, but he and the team didn’t receive alluring proposals and decided to stick together.
