Mourinho Says Dybala and Belotti Will Not Leave Roma

José Mourinho wants at least one more striker, but Roma won’t necessitate replacing their lone two ones, Andrea Belotti and Paulo Dybala, who will stay put despite some rumors about their exits. The gaffer downplayed his mind games on social media talking with Corriere dello Sport.

“We made the pic with an imaginary forward just for laughs. I’ve seen very anxious coaches in the last few weeks, two threatened to quit because they were unhappy with the transfer market. Another one joked with the fans that they weren’t doing anything. It wasn’t a provocation on my part.”

“Everything is not okay, but I have fun during difficult times. I don’t get down in the dumps, and I don’t menace. I wasn’t promised anything too big. One thing I can’t change is my nature, and I don’t tell lies.”

Mourinho defended Belotti and stated he wouldn’t leave, like Dybala.

“You shouldn’t make a fuss about him. He’ll have a much more productive season. After 28 days of work, 31 practice sessions, and 6 games, plus tactical meetings, not having a marksman is a problem. I would have been furious 20 years ago, but I’m different now.”

“Dybala’s release clause lapsed on August 1st. I’ve slept better since that day. He’s a high-caliber player and he’s like gold for us. We have been in trouble when he wasn’t available.”
