Dybala Departure to Unleash Chain Reaction Involving Roma and Sassuolo

With the imminent departure of Paulo Dybala at the end of the season, Juventus are not delaying lot-picking the one candidate who can pose as the Argentine forward’s successor in Turin. Apart from Mohamed Salah, the Bianconeri have shortlisted Roma talent Nicolo Zaniolo to take over La Joya’s reigns in the attack line.

However, they will have to navigate the Azzurri forward’s €70m asking price, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The transfer fee includes a 15% cut to Inter, who will benefit from Zaniolo’s transfer deal that initially got him to Rome in exchange for Radja Nainggolan back in 2018.

Zaniolo’s departure from Stadio Olimpico could point Roma into the direction of Emilia-Romagna, where another prospective attacker, who is the sights of both the Giallorossi and Bianconeri, is being targeted. (via TUTTOmercatoweb)

Both Roma and Juventus are also eyeing Giacomo Raspadori as a potential heir to their respective players. Roma would want the young Italian striker to replace Zaniolo if he does move away, whereas the Turin giants have both the aforementioned forwards shortlisted to replace Dybala.

Raspadori and Zaniolo are both 22 and both their respective contracts at Sassuolo and Roma will expire only in the summer of 2024, making it a no-brainer regarding the transfer sums their clubs will demand. Only time can tell where their respective futures lie, but one thing is for sure, the Roma man will be considerably more expensive transfer than the Neroverdi youth product.
