The future of Paulo Dybala is in doubt due to the affordable €12M release clause present in his contract, but he’s in no rush to leave Roma.

Dybala Drops Hint on His Future, Dishes on Roma Start

Paulo Dybala once again professed his love for Roma during an event hosted by a commercial partner on Wednesday night. He hailed the warmth of their fans in particular (via Corriere dello Sport).

“After such an important year and a big change for me, receiving all this affection provided me with incredible support. I didn’t expect it and didn’t know you beforehand. You made me feel at home, which makes me play better. I tried to give back part of what you conveyed during my unveiling.”

Dybala seems ready to stay put long-term.

“Unfortunately, we came up just short of winning something, but it was an incredible season for me. I’ve always been in love with Rome since I was a kid. I was far away, but it was one of my favorite cities in the world. And now I live here. Both me and my family are comfortable. I enjoy the city a lot and try to get to know it as much as possible. It’s magical. I hope that will last a while longer.”

Dybala isn’t too worried about their early results.

“The season is long. We hope to still be in contention on all fronts come March. We have a strong team and signed important players. Our start wasn’t good, but I’ve been in worse situations, and things turned out for the best in the end. I wish that will be the case again.”
