Dybala Joins Mourinho at Roma to Continue Serie A Journey

Paulo Dybala has reportedly agreed to join Roma on a three-year contract deal after waiting out on Inter to make a move.

The Nerazzurri had to rid the squad of an attacker in order to make space for Dybala – most likely Alexis Sanchez – with whom they are facing a nightmare contract situation. However, it now seems like La Joya ran out of patience and instead chose to jump on the Giallorossi ship.

According to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the Argentine playmaker said ‘yes’ to the €6M net per season proposal, having downgraded from his initial wage demands that put off several top clubs from approaching him. Arguably the most sought-after free agent in the current transfer market, Dybala will join Jose Mourinho’s forces ahead of the 2022/23 season.

It is understood that the attacker’s medical examination will be carried out in Portugal, after he was seen leaving the Torino airport on a private jet of Roma owner Dan Friedkin. He will sign a deal until the summer of 2025.

He will likely take over the legendary Francesco Totti’s number 10 shirt, after the icon himself offered it to the Argentine. Mourinho pressuring Roma management to go after Dybala has final paid off, and one can only imagine the firepower he would bring alongside striker Tammy Abraham.

He scored 115 goals and provided 48 assists in 293 appearances for the Bianconeri.
