Paulo Dybala will play his final home game with Juventus tonight versus Lazio. The striker addressed the supporters on Instagram: “It is tough to find the right words to say goodbye to you. Too many years and emotions, all at the same time.”
“I thought we would stay together for more time. However, destiny divides us. I will never forget what you made my experience in every game and goal. I have grown, learned, and dreamed next to you. They have been 7 years of magic, with 12 trophies and 115 goals that nobody can ever take away from us. Thank you for supporting me during tough times. I am grateful to everybody that accompanied me: from the faithful to the people that work inside the club, the coaches, the teammates, the employees, and the management.”
Dybala underlined what it meant to him to be a Juventus player: “Wearing this important jersey, and the captain’s armband, was one of the most important honors of my life, which I hope to be able to show to my kids and grandkids in the future. It will be my last game, which is tough to imagine. It will not be easy, but I will go on the pitch with a smile and my head held high because I know I have given everything to you.”
The race to capture La Joya on a free is wide open. Massimiliano Allegri announced that Leonardo Bonucci would be the next Juventus captain following Dybala and Giorgio Chiellini’s exits.
