Dybala Weighs In On Ongoing Negotiation to Extend his Expiring Deal

Paulo Dybala opened up on the extension talks after yesterday’s with over Malmo: “I hope we will be able to reach an agreement. I think there will be another meeting later this week. They know what my desire is, and I think the club wants the same as well. Part of the management changed, and so we had to start over. I hope things get resolved soon so there could be good news for everybody.”

Dybala also commented on the controversial decision to rest the South Americans for the Napoli clash: “We discussed it together to see what our condition was. I traveled by day, and my sleeping cycle is still getting adjusted. It is tough to be in shape if you do not sleep enough, but we just have to go out and play.”

Pavel Nedved touched on the new contract of the Argentinian star in the pre-game: “We have put him front and center in our project. We rely heavily on him, and we will try to seal the deal soon. Dybala is a key player for us.”

His agent Jorge Antun has had multiple summits with the front office since August. However, they have yet to come to terms. According to Tuttosport, the representative had initially requested €15M per year. Instead, the Juventus bigwigs offered a slight pay bump compared to his current €7M salary. The parties could meet in the middle on a €10M wages, including add-ons. The sum would make him the highest-paid player on the roster.
