Dzeko Joins Turkish Giants Fenerbahce on Bosman Deal

Edin Dzeko will leave Inter on a Bosman transfer after two years leading Simone Inzaghi’s frontline. Turkish giants Fenerbahce announced the Bosnia & Herzegovina international’s arrival with a press release and on social media.

“World-renowned striker Edin Dzeko will arrive in Istanbul to pass the medical examination and complete transfer negotiations,” confirmed Fenerbahce in an official statement.

Dzeko signs a two-year contract with Fenerbahce, similar to the one he signed when he joined Inter from Roma.

He will return to Istanbul, to the site of Inter’s unfortunate defeat at the hands of Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League final. Dzeko was substituted by Romelu Lukaku in the 57th minute.

The Bosnia veteran registered 31 goals in 101 appearances for Inter in two seasons. He won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana twice, winning the Nerazzurri over with his work ethic and impressive performances.
