Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has expressed his respect for Inter, acknowledging that there is a 50 percent chance for either side to win the UEFA Champions League come June. The goalie’s comments come as the Cityzens emphatically demolished Real Madrid 5-1 on aggregate, whereas the Nerazzurri netted three against eternal rivals Milan to set up a grandstand finale.
Speaking after the win against Los Blancos, the Brazilian shot-stopper revealed no team would have the upper hand over the other before they meet in Istanbul (via Calciomercato).
“We have a 50% chance like our opponents, anything can happen in 90 minutes. We have to prepare well, but we have matches important and now we have to think about the next one.”
Inter are currently in line for a season double, taking on Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia final at the end of May before traveling to Turkey to face the Premier League champions-elect.
